Managing Attorney
Robyn Hicks-Guinn is the managing attorney at Hicks-Guinn Law in Charlotte, North Carolina. She discovered her passion for using the law to support and uplift people in need when she was a student at North Carolina Central University Law School where she partnered with Legal Aid of North Carolina and the Conservation Trust of North Carolina to host several estate planning workshops for minority farmers and marginalized communities in North Carolina. After graduating from law school, Robyn served as a law clerk to The Honorable Cheri Beasley on the North Carolina Supreme Court. She went on to work as the Trial Court Administrator for the 7th Prosecutorial District under Senior Resident Judges Toby Fitch and Quentin Sumner. Robyn assists individuals and small business owners at Hicks-Guinn Law where she enjoys counseling families and individuals in estate planning, estate administration, business succession planning and real estate matters. She also advises businesses as general corporate counsel and advocates for victims in personal injury and workers compensation cases. In her work, Robyn draws from both her professional and personal experiences to help her clients meet their goals and fulfill their missions.
Robyn Hicks-Guinn is a leader in the legal profession. She serves on numerous committees with the Mecklenburg County Bar Association, has been appointed to the General Contracting and Licensing Board for the State of North Carolina and served on the City of Charlotte Human Relations Commission and several civic and philanthropic organizations across the state. Robyn teaches Continuing Legal Education courses and hosts community programming designed to empower the public to make important legal decisions to protect their families and their assets. Her willingness to meet people where they are sets her apart from others in the field. Hicks-Guinn Law has the capability to customize legal services virtually and in person, and Robyn is well known for her hands on approach and ability to explain complex legal concepts in a relatable way.
In her spare time, Robyn enjoys competing in triathlons and spending time with her husband, two sons and dog Rajah.
